Raised in Texas, she completed her education at Duncanville High School and Texas Woman's University before embarking on a modeling career that eventually led her to Los Angeles to fully dedicate herself to acting.

Jones made her mark in the entertainment industry by serving as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader for two years, followed by a year as a dancer for the Dallas Mavericks. Her commitment to performance took her on international tours with the United Service Organization (USO) and the U.S. Department of Defense, entertaining troops in countries such as Korea, Japan, Israel, and Egypt. She also showcased her talents on "Monday Night Football" and during the "Miss Texas Pageant."

Her early acting career included roles in the Saturday morning series "City Guys" and the made-for-TV trilogy "America's Dream," featuring stars like Danny Glover and Wesley Snipes.
