Darsheel Safary, born on March 9, 1997, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is a renowned Indian actor celebrated for his impactful performances in Hindi cinema. He first captured the hearts of audiences with his remarkable role as Ishaan Nandkishore Awasthi in the critically acclaimed film *Taare Zameen Par* (2007). Raised in Mumbai, Darsheel was the son of Mitesh and Sheetal Safary, with a passion for dance that led him to Shiamak Davar's dance academy. Despite having no prior acting experience, he was discovered by Amol Gupte, the film's scriptwriter, during a search for the lead. After an extensive audition process, Gupte recognized Darsheel’s unique charm and mischievous spirit, ultimately casting him in the role that would change his life.
During the filming, which spanned from late 2006 to early 2007, Darsheel faced challenges, including resistance from his school regarding his extended absence. However, Aamir Khan’s support ensured that his education continued uninterrupted, providing personal tuition and covering his educational expenses.
