Ry Russo-Young
Ry Russo-Young, born on November 16, 1981, is a distinguished independent filmmaker from the United States. She gained notable recognition for her film "You Wont Miss Me," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009 and earned a Gotham Award for Best Film Not Playing at a Theater Near You. Prior to this, her debut feature, "Orphans," was awarded a special jury prize at the South by Southwest festival in 2007, marking her as a significant voice in independent cinema.
Her short film "Marion" also garnered critical acclaim, winning multiple awards, including a Silver Hugo for Best Experimental Short at the Chicago Independent Film Festival.
