Lito Pimentel
Joselito Pimentel, more widely recognized as Lito Pimentel, is a distinguished Filipino actor known for his contributions to both film and television. He is the nephew of the late renowned game show host, Pepe Pimentel.
Lito's journey in the entertainment industry commenced in the early 1980s when the influential talent manager and entertainment columnist Alfie Lorenzo identified his potential and included him in his talent group, The Liberty Boys. Pimentel quickly made a name for himself, appearing in a variety of films throughout the decade. Some of his notable works include "Moral" (1982) alongside Lorna Tolentino, "Broken Marriage" (1983) with Vilma Santos, "Clarizza" (1986) featuring Sarsi Emmanuelle, "Lord, Bakit Ako Pa?" (1988) starring Snooky Serna, and "Lover's Delight" (1990) with Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez.
Transitioning from film to television, Pimentel gained widespread popularity as a host on the GMA Network's noontime show "Lunch Date" in 1988, where his wit and relatable style resonated with audiences. In 1991, he took on a new challenge by hosting the Sunday game show "Family Kuwarta o Kahon," which allowed him to collaborate with his uncle, Pepe Pimentel.
Among his accolades, Pimentel earned the Gawad Urian Award for Best Supporting Actor for his compelling performance in "Kapag Napagod ang Puso" (1988), cementing his status as a prominent figure in the Philippine entertainment scene.
