David Geffen
David Lawrence Geffen, born on February 21, 1943, is a prominent American film producer, record executive, and media entrepreneur. He made significant contributions to the music industry by co-founding Asylum Records alongside Elliot Roberts in 1971. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Geffen Records in 1980, which quickly became a powerhouse in the music scene. In 1990, he launched DGC Records, further solidifying his influence in the industry. Notably, Geffen co-founded DreamWorks Records in 1996 with industry stalwarts Mo Ostin, Michael Ostin, and Lenny Waronker.
