He is the brother of actress Winni Paranjpye, further establishing a lineage of artistic talent. Gautam made his directorial debut with the Marathi film "Pak Pak Pakak" in 2005, showcasing his creative vision and storytelling abilities.
Before stepping into the director's role, he gained recognition in Hindi cinema for his portrayal of Peter in the film "Prahaar: The Final Attack," released in 1991.
