Michele Foresta
Michele Foresta, known by his stage name Mago Forest, is an accomplished Italian entertainer whose career spans various forms of performance. After earning a diploma in accounting and commercial expertise, he moved to Milan to study mime and theater. His career took off with the "On the Road" company, leading to performances in numerous Milanese cabarets, as well as in London and Paris. It was during this time that he developed his iconic character, a comedic magician reminiscent of the greats, Silvan and Houdini.
In 1988, Foresta made his television debut on Renzo Arbore's program, "Indietro tutta!" Following this, he collaborated with fellow comedian Nino Frassica on shows such as "Acqua calda," "La grande sfida," and "I cervelloni." His rise continued with a notable role in the first season of "Scommettiamo che...?" in 1991, alongside Frassica, where they performed entertaining parodies.
From 1997 to 2001, Foresta became a household name through his regular appearances on "Zelig," holding the record for the most guest spots. He also achieved popularity through his comedic book, "Come diventare maghi in 15 minuti." His versatility is evident in theater, where he starred in productions like "Snaporaz-Fellini" and "Cos'ha Copperfield che io non ho," the latter of which he directed.
Throughout the 2000s, he hosted various shows including "Mai dire Grande Fratello" and presented the "Festivalbar" alongside Cristina Chiabotto and Ilary Blasi. His creative flair continued with a memorable duet at the 2008 Sanremo Festival and a role in the sitcom "Taglia e cuci." Even after returning to "Zelig" in 2010 and joining the cast of "Fenomenal" in 2011, Foresta's impact on Italian entertainment remains significant
