Terry Ryan, hailing from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, carved a niche for himself in the world of professional hockey, enjoying a seven-year career that included eight appearances in the NHL before hanging up his skates in 2007. Following his retirement, he penned a critically acclaimed memoir, "Tales of a First Round Nothing," which was released in May 2014 and quickly became a bestseller.

Transitioning from sports to the arts, Ryan embarked on a career in the film industry, gaining recognition for his guest appearances on the popular CBC series "Republic of Doyle." He also showcased his personality in OLN's "Road Hockey Rumble" in 2008.
