Carolyn Dunn is a talented Canadian actress renowned for her portrayal of Sylvie Gerard in the beloved television series, Tropical Heat. Born on March 18, 1961, in Whitney Pier, Nova Scotia, she embarked on her acting journey in the late 1970s, featuring in various television movies and miniseries. In 1985, she gained a significant role in the Canadian comedy series, Head Office.

Dunn's career reached new heights in 1989 when she was cast as Sylvie Gerard in Tropical Heat, which was known as Sweating Bullets in the U.S. The show enjoyed a successful four-season run and solidified Dunn’s status as a prominent figure in Canadian television.

Beyond Tropical Heat, Dunn has showcased her versatility by appearing in an array of television shows, such as The Outer Limits, Street Legal, and The X-Files. Her film credits include roles in Breaking All the Rules, Charlie Grace, and The Death of Alice Blue.
