Mohammed Al Toweyyan

Mohammed Al Toweyyan, born in 1945 in Buraidah, Al-Qassim, Saudi Arabia, is a distinguished actor, writer, and visual artist hailing from the prominent Jabour tribe of Bani Khalid. Growing up in an affluent family, thanks to his father's successful merchant business, Al Toweyyan pursued his education in the United States, where he began to cultivate his passion for the arts.

Throughout his career, he has made significant contributions to television, starring in popular series such as "Ekab," "Abu Al-Malyoon," "Ghashmasham," and "La'bat Kubar." In addition to his acting, he has showcased his writing talents in series like "La'bat Al-Shaytan" and the acclaimed "Tash Ma Tash." Notably, Al Toweyyan has played a pivotal role in mentoring emerging talents in the industry, including renowned director Najdat Anzour and actors Ayman Zidan and Nasser Al-Qasabi.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the performing arts, he was awarded the "Theater and Performing Arts" accolade from the National Cultural Awards Initiative during its fourth edition in 2024. Furthermore, his impact on the cultural landscape was celebrated at the opening of the Gulf Film Festival in 2024, underscoring his vital role in enhancing the Saudi and Gulf arts scene.
