Arty Froushan
Artemas Bolour-Froushan, widely known as Arty Froushan, was born on April 16, 1993, in Connecticut to an English mother and an Iranian father, with additional French heritage from his mother’s side. He spent his formative years in South London and attended St. Paul's School in Barnes. Froushan pursued higher education at Brasenose College, Oxford, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in French and German in 2015. He later honed his acting skills at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), graduating in 2017.
Froushan launched his professional acting career with a debut in the Royal Court Theatre's production of *White Pearl*. His television career began with the BBC Two docufilm *Joe Orton Laid Bare* in 2017. He gained broader recognition for his role as Jonah Breakspear in the Amazon Prime series *Carnival Row*, which aired from 2019 to 2023. His filmography also includes a role as Qarl Correy in HBO's *House of the Dragon* in 2022, a prequel to *Game of Thrones*.
In addition to his screen work, Froushan starred in Tom Stoppard’s acclaimed play *Leopoldstadt* at Wyndham's Theatre in London before its Broadway run in 2022. His recent projects include the Disney+ series *Daredevil: Born Again* and the film *Downton Abbey 3*, both set for release in 2025. Froushan also made his feature film debut in *The Persian Version*, showcased at the Sundance Film Festival in 2023.
