Jackie Torres is a multi-talented Puerto Rican actress, writer, director, and producer, renowned for her impactful contributions to the entertainment industry. She first gained recognition in her homeland by producing popular television shows such as Marcano...El Show and Con lo que cuenta este país for Telemundo, as well as La Hora Lunatica in Los Angeles. This transition to Los Angeles marked a significant turning point in her career, allowing her to delve into filmmaking.

Torres has made a name for herself in the urban film genre with her directorial ventures, including The Price of the American Dream and East LA King, both produced through Laguna Productions, along with Crossing Frontiers, created under her own banner, Jakmar Entertainment.
