Nikos Mavrakis
Nikos Mavrakis was born on March 24, 1989, in Syros, Greece, to George Mavrakis and Evangelia Preka-Mavraki, alongside his two older sisters, Anna and Julia. From an early age, Nikos displayed a remarkable array of talents. His journey into acting began at just nine years old when he joined his primary school's acting group. A memorable incident occurred during a fifth-grade performance when he forgot his lines and spontaneously improvised, eliciting laughter from the audience and foreshadowing his future in the performing arts.
Demonstrating his versatility, Nikos also showcased his musical abilities by leading his school's choir to victory in a nationwide music competition. Academically, he excelled at the University of Larissa, where he pursued a degree in Medical Laboratories, graduating in just three years as the top student and the youngest in his program. Although he received a scholarship for medical studies, his passion for acting led him to secretly enroll in "The Theater of Changes" drama school.
Nikos made his television debut in the series "The Generation of 592 EUR," followed by roles in various other series, including his last Greek project, "Stolen Dreams," where he played Lefterakis. His career took a significant turn when he was cast in the Turkish series "Two Sides and One Ismail," a bold move that allowed him to immerse himself in Turkish culture. He later starred in the short film "Lack," earning accolades at two prestigious film festivals. Additionally, he appeared alongside Viggo Mortensen and Kirsten Dunst in the American film "The Two Faces of January." With numerous projects underway, Nikos Mavrakis remains dedicated to exploring new horizons in his acting career.
