He is the eldest child of renowned rapper and actor Ice Cube. Jackson made his film debut by taking on the role of his father in the 2015 biographical film Straight Outta Compton, which chronicles the rise of the hip-hop group N.W.A.

In his family, he has two brothers, Darryl and Sharif, as well as a sister named Kareema. Notably, his brother Darryl pursues a music career as a rapper, adopting the moniker Doughboy, inspired by the character his father played in the classic film Boyz n the Hood.
