Jeffrey Mylett
Jeffrey Mylett was born on June 8 in North Canton, Ohio, where he developed a passion for acting during his time at Hoover High School. He pursued his dreams at Carnegie-Mellon University but left in 1969 to seek opportunities in New York City. His big break came when a college friend, John-Michael Tebelak, invited him to join the original cast of the groundbreaking musical GODSPELL, which Tebelak was producing as his master's thesis. This production marked the beginning of Mylett's theatrical career, and he later reprised his role in the film adaptation of the musical.
Throughout his career, Mylett showcased his talents in various stage productions and appeared in a couple of films. In addition to acting, he was a gifted songwriter, crafting music and lyrics that, unfortunately, never made it to record. Despite his promising career, Jeffrey faced personal challenges and ultimately succumbed to AIDS in May 1986. His contributions to theater and his role in GODSPELL remain a testament to his artistry and dedication to the performing arts. Mylett's legacy lives on through his work and the impact he had on those around him.
