Angeliki Papoulia, born in Athens, Greece, is a distinguished actress and theatre director, celebrated for her impactful contributions to both film and stage. She earned her degree in Theatre Studies from Athens University and graduated from the "Empros" Theatre Drama School in 2000. Fluent in English and French, Papoulia has made her mark in the film industry with significant roles in various acclaimed projects.

Her film career includes notable performances such as Kiki in "Matchbox" (2002) directed by Yiannis Economides, and the older daughter in "Dogtooth," directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. This film garnered the "Prix Un Certain Regard" at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 83rd Academy Awards. She also appeared in "Alps," which won the Osella for Best Screenplay at the 68th Venice International Film Festival, and "The Lobster," another collaboration with Lanthimos that received The Jury Prize at Cannes in 2015.
