Maria Kraakman

Maria Kraakman, born on August 5, 1975, is a distinguished Dutch actress celebrated for her remarkable contributions to theater and film. After graduating from the Arnhem Theater School in 1998, she joined Toneelgroep Oostpool as a permanent actress, where she has showcased her talent in various productions.

Kraakman gained significant recognition for her performance in Nanouk Leopold's critically acclaimed film "Guernsey" (2005), for which she was awarded the prestigious Golden Calf. Her collaboration with Leopold began with the film "Îles flottantes" in 2001, paving the way for a successful career in both film and stage. She has also been acknowledged for her work in the television series and stage adaptations, receiving a nomination for Best Female Stage Actress for her role in "Eline Vere."

In 2008 and 2009, Kraakman starred in the solo performance "Anonymous," directed by Nataliya Golofastova, which earned her the Gouden Kniertje in September 2009. Her outstanding portrayal in "Orlando" in 2010 garnered her the prestigious Theo d'Or, solidifying her status as a leading actress in the Dutch performing arts scene.
