Anders Bircow
Anders Bircow, born on December 15, 1951, in Helsinge, Denmark, is a renowned actor and comedian, celebrated primarily for his role in the comedic trio Linie 3. His early education took place in Nærum, Ramløse, and Helsinge, after which he trained as a bank worker. Bircow later transitioned to teaching in Vorgod, Herning, before pursuing his passion for acting at Aarhus Theatre, where he honed his craft.
From a young age, he showcased his musical talents playing guitar and bass in a band named Cokes. In 1979, he co-founded the comedy group Linie 3 with Preben Kristensen, a collaborator from his earlier ensemble, Barbershop Harmony, and Thomas Eje. The group debuted their first television show in 1980, quickly becoming a staple of Danish entertainment.
A highlight of Linie 3’s career was the millennium show Rundrejsen 2001, watched by over 300,000 viewers. They celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2004 but took a hiatus before reuniting in 2011. Their highly successful comeback at the Tivoli Theatre in Copenhagen in April 2012 was followed by a nationwide tour.
Outside of comedy, Bircow has performed in one-man shows, directed theatrical productions, and lent his voice to numerous animated characters, including being the official voice of Mickey Mouse in Denmark. He also held a prominent position as the chief representative of Amway in Denmark and successfully challenged a newspaper's portrayal of the company.
Married to Marion Bircow, he is the father of three daughters: Caroline, Julia, and Sophia.
