Suriya

Saravanan Sivakumar, popularly known as Suriya, is a prominent Indian actor, producer, and television host recognized for his significant contributions to Tamil cinema. He made his acting debut in the film Nerukku Ner in 1997, but it was his role in Nandha in 2001 that marked a turning point in his career. His first substantial commercial success came with the gripping thriller Kaakha Kaakha in 2003, which established him as a leading star in the industry. By 2010, Suriya had garnered three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards South, underscoring his talent and dedication to his craft. In 2013, he took a bold step by founding his own production company, 2D Entertainment.

Born to the esteemed Tamil actor Sivakumar, Suriya is the elder brother of fellow actor Karthi. He married his co-star Jyothika in 2006 after a long courtship. Committed to giving back to society, Suriya established the Agaram Foundation in 2008, which supports various charitable initiatives.
