Þorsteinn Bachmann

Þorsteinn Bachmann, born on October 25, 1965, is a renowned actor hailing from Iceland, celebrated for his compelling portrayal of Móri in the acclaimed film "Life in a Fishbowl." His outstanding performance in this role earned him an Edda Award in 2015, solidifying his status within the Icelandic film industry.

Raised in the Fossvogur district of Reykjavík, Bachmann relocated to Breiðholt at the age of ten. His early academic journey was challenging, as he struggled with literacy before transferring schools, a formative experience that shaped his future endeavors.

He completed his education at the Icelandic Drama School in 1991 and subsequently became an influential figure in Icelandic theatre. Bachmann has collaborated with various theatre companies in Reykjavík and Akureyri, even serving as president of the Akureyri theatre group for several years.
