Maya Khabira Rudolph, born on July 27, 1972, is a multifaceted American actress, comedian, and singer. She gained widespread recognition in 2000 as a cast member of NBC's iconic sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live (SNL). Following her stint on SNL, which concluded in 2007, she showcased her talent in several notable films including 50 First Dates (2004), A Prairie Home Companion (2006), Idiocracy (2006), and the comedy hits Grown Ups (2010) and its sequel, as well as Bridesmaids (2011) and Inherent Vice (2014).

Rudolph's voice talents have also shone in animated features like Shrek the Third (2007), Big Hero 6 (2014), and The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021). She starred as Ava Alexander in the NBC sitcom Up All Night from 2011 to 2012 and co-hosted the variety series Maya & Marty alongside Martin Short in 2016. Since 2017, she has lent her voice to various characters in the acclaimed Netflix animated series Big Mouth, notably winning Primetime Emmy Awards in both 2020 and 2021 for her role as Connie the Hormone Monstress.

Her portrayal of Kamala Harris on SNL earned her the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. Additionally, she appeared in the NBC series The Good Place from 2018 to 2020, which garnered her three Primetime Emmy nominations.
