Emmanuel Jal

Emmanuel Jal, born in the early 1980s in Southern Sudan, faced extraordinary hardships as a child soldier amid the brutal conflict in his homeland. His journey from the ravages of war to becoming an internationally recognized recording artist is a testament to his resilience and talent. Jal's music, characterized by a distinctive blend of hip hop and powerful messages of peace and reconciliation, has resonated with audiences worldwide. He has released four acclaimed studio albums: *Gua*, *Ceasefire*, *Warchild*, and *See Me Mama*.

His performances have graced prestigious events such as Live 8 and Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday Concert. Jal has shared the stage with renowned artists including Faithless, Razorlight, and Alicia Keys, and has toured the United States as part of the National Geographic All Roads Film Festival, performing in major cities like New York and Los Angeles.
