Elsa Lunghini
Elsa Lunghini, known simply as Elsa, was born on May 20, 1973, in France. She emerged as a prominent pop sensation in the late 1980s, becoming the youngest artist to reach the top of the French charts at just 13 years old with her hit single "T'en va pas" in 1986. This song, featured in the film *La Femme de ma vie*, captivated audiences and secured her a remarkable eight-week reign at number one. By the end of the decade, she had sold millions of records, with her 1988 album, *Elsa*, achieving double-platinum status by 1993.
Born to a family with strong artistic roots—her father George Lunghini being an actor and musician, and her mother Christiane Jobert a painter—Elsa has Italian heritage on her father’s side and Sephardic Jewish ancestry on her mother’s side. She is also related to actresses Eva Green and Josephine Jobert.
Her career highlights include performing at the prestigious Olympia in Paris at age 17 and a series of successful singles from her debut album, such as "Quelque chose dans mon cœur" and "Un Roman d'amitié," the latter featuring Glenn Medeiros. In 1990, she released her second album, *Rien que pour ça*, which showcased her evolving musical style.
In addition to her music career, Lunghini has appeared in television films, including *La mort est rousse* (2002) and *Trois jours en juin* (2004). In 2006, she released a live CD and DVD, marking another chapter in her diverse artistic journey.
