Dax Ravina
Dax Ravina hails from Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he began his academic journey studying sociology and criminology at Saint Mary's University. His passion for performance blossomed when he joined the university's drama society, landing the lead role of Stanley Kowalski in Tennessee Williams' classic, A Streetcar Named Desire. This experience propelled him to pursue formal training at the renowned Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto.
Dax's film career took off with his debut in the feature film Wisegirls, directed by David Anspaugh, known for his work on Rudy and Hoosiers. He gained recognition for his leading role in the acclaimed short film Backjumping, which later evolved into the CBC pilot Cheap Draft, directed by Jay Dahl. His impressive body of work includes collaborations with notable actors such as Kurt Russell in The Art of the Steal, Tim Roth in The Padre, and Taryn Manning in Weirdsville, among others.
Dax has featured in six films produced by the Los Angeles-Toronto production company Darius Films, including the Nicolas Cage-led The Retirement Plan and The Blue Iguana, which starred the late Bob Saget and was filmed in Grand Cayman. Recently, he appeared in the popular Shudder franchise film VHS94 and has a recurring role as Officer Gordon on the beloved Netflix series Trailer Park Boys. Currently, Dax divides his time between Los Angeles and Toronto and is represented by Nigel Mikoski from Connekt Creative Agency in Vancouver.
