Ángeles Cruz

Ángeles Cruz is a talented Mexican actress, screenwriter, and filmmaker hailing from the La Mixteca region of Oaxaca. She holds a degree in acting from the National Institute of Fine Arts' School of Theater Art. With a robust film career, Cruz has appeared in over a dozen national and international feature films, collaborating with esteemed directors such as Ignacio Ortiz, Jorge Pérez Solano, and Francisco Vargas.

Her remarkable performance in "Tamara y la Catarina," directed by Lucía Carreras, garnered her the prestigious "Colón de Plata" for Best Actress at the 2017 Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Huelva, and she was nominated for an Ariel Award for Best Female Performance in 2018. Additionally, Cruz received a nomination for the Golden Beetle as Best Actress from the Swedish Film Academy for her role in "La hija del puma" (1994), and she was also nominated for an Ariel Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film "Rito Terminal" (2000).
