Constance Ann Shulman, born on April 4, 1958, is a talented American actress recognized for her distinctive contributions to both animation and live-action television. Shulman's most iconic role came as the voice of Patti Mayonnaise in the beloved animated series Doug, which aired from 1991 to 1999. She gained further acclaim for her portrayal of Yoga Jones in the acclaimed Netflix series Orange Is the New Black, where she showcased her versatility as an actress.

Hailing from Johnson City, Tennessee, Shulman grew up in a Jewish family and pursued her passion for the performing arts at the University of Tennessee, earning a bachelor's degree in speech and theater in 1980. She later honed her craft at the Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York City. Shulman's film career began with a role in the comedy Fletch Lives in 1989, followed by supporting performances in notable films such as Lost Angels, Men Don't Leave, and Fried Green Tomatoes.

In addition to her work in television and film, Shulman appeared in popular Kraft mayonnaise commercials during the early 1990s. After taking a break from acting in the late 1990s to focus on raising her children, she made a significant comeback with her role in Orange Is the New Black. In 2015, she and her fellow cast members received the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, solidifying her place in the entertainment industry.
