Yvonne Monlaur (December 15, 1939 – April 18, 2017) was a notable French film actress celebrated for her contributions to the genre of horror during the late 1950s and 1960s, particularly with Hammer Films. Born to a White Russian count and a ballet dancer, Monlaur’s unique heritage added to her allure on screen.

Her acting career took off with her role in the 1958 Italian film *Three Strangers in Rome*, which featured rising star Claudia Cardinale. In 1960, Monlaur appeared in the chilling horror flick *Circus of Horrors*, sharing the screen with esteemed British actors Anton Diffring and Donald Pleasence. That same year, she starred in *The Brides of Dracula*, opposite iconic actor Peter Cushing and Freda Jackson, further solidifying her status in British cinema. She also played a role in *The Terror of the Tongs* (1961) alongside the legendary Christopher Lee.

Monlaur auditioned for the coveted role of Domino Derval in the 1965 James Bond film *Thunderball*, but the part ultimately went to Claudine Auger. Following a series of films in Germany and Italy, she decided to retreat from the film industry and returned to Paris. In her later years, Monlaur occasionally participated in film conventions, celebrating the legacy of Hammer Films and her contributions to cinema.
