Jung Kook
Jeon Jung-kook (전정국; born September 1, 1997), widely recognized as Jung Kook (정국), is a prominent South Korean singer, songwriter, and record producer affiliated with BigHit Music. As the youngest member of the globally acclaimed boy band BTS, he has made significant contributions to the music industry.
Jung Kook has showcased his solo artistry through several tracks included in BTS’ repertoire, notably "Begin" in 2016, "Euphoria" in 2018, and "My Time" in 2020, all of which achieved success on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart. Additionally, he released two self-composed digital singles, "Still With You" in 2020 and "My You" in 2022. His versatility was further highlighted with the track "Stay Alive," created for the BTS-inspired webtoon 7Fates: Chakho. In 2022, Jung Kook collaborated with American artist Charlie Puth on the single "Left and Right," which peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100. That same year, he made history as the first South Korean artist to contribute an official song for the FIFA World Cup soundtrack with "Dreamers," which he performed at the tournament's opening ceremony.
In 2023, Jung Kook achieved a monumental milestone with his debut solo single "Seven," featuring Latto, which debuted at number one on multiple charts, including the Billboard Hot 100. This track broke records on Spotify, becoming the fastest to reach 100 million streams. His follow-up single "3D," featuring Jack Harlow, further cemented his status, landing in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100. In 2024, he was elevated to a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association.
