Inge Maux
Inge Maux, born Ingeborg Christine Wöchtl on October 2, 1944, in Mettmach, Upper Austria, is a distinguished Austrian actress known for her versatility on stage and screen. Raised primarily in Upper Austria, Inge was encouraged by her uncle, composer Richard Maux, to pursue the arts, leading her to study at the renowned Vienna Drama School Krauss.
Her theatrical career has seen her perform at prestigious venues such as Schauspiel Köln and Schauspielhaus Zürich. Inge has made a significant mark in musicals, portraying Jente in "Anatevka" at the Zürich Opera House, and taking on roles like Maria Wartberg in "Ich war noch niemals in New York" at the Raimund Theater. Her guest appearances span notable theaters, including Residenz Theater in Munich and Ernst Deutsch Theater in Hamburg.
From 2010 to 2014, she was part of the Vienna Volkstheater, where she took on memorable roles, including Betty Dullfeet in "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui" and Veta Louise Simmons in "Harvey". In 2015, she captivated audiences as the White Queen in "Alice in Wonderland" during the Melk summer games.
