Ruta Gedmintas

Ruta Gedmintas, born on August 23, 1983, in England to Lithuanian parents, spent her formative years in Stockholm and Buckinghamshire. She honed her acting skills at the prestigious Drama Centre London under the guidance of Reuven Adiv. Gedmintas first gained recognition for her role as Rachel Harris, a former police officer, in the BBC series *Spooks: Code 9*. She further showcased her talent with guest appearances in popular shows such as *Waking the Dead* and *The Bill*.

Her career ascended significantly when she portrayed Elizabeth Blount in the acclaimed Showtime series *The Tudors*. In 2010, Gedmintas expanded her filmography with roles in independent features *Zerosome* and *Atletu* (also known as *The Athlete*), before taking on the character of Frankie in the BBC Three series *Lip Service*.
