Jo Anderson
Jo Anderson, born on June 29 in Brooklyn, New York, grew up in the suburban landscape of Tenafly, New Jersey, as one of four siblings. With striking red hair and blue eyes, she stands at 5'7½". Jo's creative journey began at the age of fourteen when she started writing poetry and prose. She pursued higher education at Adelphi University in Long Island, NY, where she honed her artistic talents.
A multifaceted artist, Jo has embraced various forms of expression, including dance, writing, and acting. She initiated her career in Manhattan, performing in numerous theatrical productions both off and off-off Broadway. Notably, in 1985, she penned and starred in the one-woman play "Marie," which showcased her portrayal of the renowned scientist Marie Curie.
In the mid-1980s, Jo relocated to Los Angeles, where she continued to develop her craft. She trained under distinguished actor Michael Moriarty and became a member of the prestigious Actor's Studio, further enhancing her skills through studies at the Chekhov Studio, and exploring improvisation and clowning techniques at Lecoq.
