Julie Gayet

Julie Gayet, born on June 3, 1972, in Suresnes, Hauts-de-Seine, is a prominent French actress and film producer, notably recognized as the former partner of François Hollande, the ex-President of France.

She hails from a family steeped in academia and medicine; her father, Brice Gayet, is a distinguished professor of gastric surgery, while her mother is an antique dealer. Gayet's paternal grandfather, Alain Gayet, was also a celebrated surgeon and a Compagnon de la Libération after World War II, fostering an intellectually stimulating environment during her upbringing.

A versatile talent, Gayet pursued studies in art history, psychology, and even circus skills, alongside operatic singing under Tosca Marmor. At 17, she honed her craft at the Actors Studio in London before continuing her training in Paris.

Her acting career began in 1992 with a role in the television series *Premiers baisers*, followed by her first noteworthy performance in the 1996 film *Delphine 1, Yvan 0*. She also ventured into music, appearing in music videos for artists like Benjamin Biolay.
