Andreas Pietschmann
Andreas Pietschmann, born on March 22, 1969, is a distinguished German actor known for his work in theater, film, and television. Pietschmann’s early life included a stint in youth football with Würzburger Kickers, where he showcased his athletic talent. His journey into acting began during his military service with the Bundeswehr, where he first took the stage in productions like Die Feuerzangenbowle. A pivotal moment came after he survived a serious car accident, prompting him to fully commit to his acting career.
He honed his craft at drama school in Bochum from 1993 to 1996 and subsequently spent four years at the Schauspielhaus Bochum. In the 2000/2001 season, he moved to the Thalia Theater in Hamburg and later shifted his focus to film and television in 2007. Pietschmann’s versatility extends to radio, where he has contributed to numerous productions and narrated popular audiobooks, including Carlos Ruiz Zafón's The Shadow of the Wind and Junot Díaz's The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.
His breakout role came as Konstantin "Konny" Brendorp in the series GSG 9 – Ihr Einsatz ist ihr Leben. He gained international recognition for his portrayal of "The Stranger" in Netflix's critically acclaimed series Dark. Pietschmann continues to perform at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin and has made guest appearances across various television shows. He resides in Berlin with his partner, actress Jasmin Tabatabai, and their two children, Helena Leila and Johan Anton, along with her daughter from a previous marriage.
