Raymond Louis Heenan, widely recognized as Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, was a multifaceted figure in American professional wrestling, renowned for his roles as a manager, color commentator, wrestler, and comedian. His illustrious career spanned several prominent promotions, including the American Wrestling Association (AWA), WWE, and World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

Heenan gained fame for his exceptional talent in promoting heel wrestlers, generating intense reactions from audiences. He managed iconic figures such as Nick Bockwinkel, guiding him to secure the AWA World Heavyweight Championship. During the 1980s wrestling boom, Heenan became a key player in WWE, where he managed heavyweight legends like King Kong Bundy and André the Giant in high-stakes matches against Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 2 and WrestleMania III. His group, known as "The Heenan Family," featured a rotating cast of wrestlers throughout his career.

In addition to his managing prowess, Heenan was celebrated for his sharp wit and comedic timing, particularly in his dynamic exchanges with commentator Gorilla Monsoon. Beyond wrestling, he authored two books and hosted a parody talk show called The Bobby Heenan Show on WWE Prime Time Wrestling. Heenan's career as a commentator concluded in 2001 at WrestleMania X-Seven, although he made occasional appearances afterward. Following a battle with throat cancer, Heenan passed away in 2017.
