King Parsons Jr.
King Bailey Parsons Jr., widely recognized by his ring name "Iceman" King Parsons, is a retired professional wrestler whose career began in 1979 after receiving training from Nick Kozak. Parsons made his debut with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) under Paul Boesch's Promotion in Houston, Texas. His early work caught the attention of Don Owen, which led to an opportunity in the NWA's Pacific Northwest territory, where he collaborated with Rocky Johnson to capture the tag team championship.
In the late 1970s, Parsons relocated to Barling, Arkansas, working with the Tulsa promotion run by Leroy McGuirk. He eventually moved to Worland, Wyoming, where he wrestled for Rocky Mountain Wrestling, covering regions in Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah, under the booking of Bill Ash.
By 1982, Parsons joined Jim Crockett Promotions, where he teamed up with Porkchop Cash and engaged in a heated rivalry with Don Kernodle and Jim Nelson for the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship. The following year, he transitioned to World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW), feuding with notable wrestlers including the One Man Gang and Chris Adams. His rivalry with Freebird Buddy Roberts culminated in a dramatic hair vs. hair match, which saw Parsons prevail.
Afterward, Parsons ventured into the Universal Wrestling Federation, adopting a heel persona and continuing his rivalries, particularly with Savannah Jack. In the late '80s, he aligned with Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts in a quest for revenge against Michael Hayes and the Von Erichs. Notably, Parsons won the WCWA American Heavyweight Championship in 1985 and captured the World Class Heavyweight Championship in a highly controversial match against Kerry Von Erich in March 1988.
