Susannah Doyle, born on July 5, 1966, is a talented English actress celebrated for her memorable performances, particularly as Joy Merryweather in the acclaimed sitcom *Drop The Dead Donkey* and as Avril Burke in the beloved drama *Ballykissangel*.

Growing up in a theatrical environment, she is the daughter of renowned Irish actor Tony Doyle. From an early age, Susannah was inspired to pursue acting, a passion ignited by witnessing her father's performances in intimate theatre settings. She honed her craft at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, preparing her for a successful career in television and theatre.

Doyle's breakout role arrived in 1991 when she portrayed the witty and sharp-tongued secretary Joy in *Drop The Dead Donkey*, which became a defining part of her career. She continued to make her mark with appearances in popular shows such as *Minder* (1994), *Soldier, Soldier* (1996), and *A Touch of Frost* (1997).
