Ione Skye Lee, known simply as Ione Skye, was born on September 4, 1970, in the UK and later became an American actress, author, and painter. She burst onto the film scene with her role in the 1986 thriller River's Edge, but it was her performance in Cameron Crowe's iconic film Say Anything... (1989) that truly elevated her career. Throughout the 1990s, she showcased her talent in various films, including Gas Food Lodging (1992), Wayne's World (1992), and One Night Stand (1997).
Her later work includes appearances in the comedy Fever Pitch (2005) and an uncredited part in Zodiac (2007). On television, she has made guest appearances in series such as The Twilight Zone (2002) and Private Practice (2008), and she had a recurring role on Arrested Development from 2005 to 2018. In addition to her acting career, Skye is also a painter and has written several children's books. VH1 recognized her as one of the 100 Greatest Teen Stars, placing her at number 84 in 2006.
