Aurelio De Laurentiis, born on May 24, 1949, is a prominent Italian film producer renowned for his work in the cinema industry and his role in sports management. He is the founder and owner of Filmauro, a successful film production company, and holds the position of chairman for the Italian football club Napoli.

As a member of the illustrious De Laurentiis family, he is the nephew of the legendary film producer Dino De Laurentiis and the first cousin once removed of celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. His contributions to the film industry extend beyond production; he has also served on the board of directors for the National Italian American Foundation and was a juror at the 1995 Moscow International Film Festival.

De Laurentiis made headlines in 2004 when he acquired Napoli following the club's financial collapse and subsequent relegation to Serie C1. With a vision of restoring the club's glory while maintaining fiscal responsibility, he oversaw their remarkable ascent back to Serie A within three years. Under his stewardship, Napoli not only established itself as a competitive force in Italian football but also qualified for the UEFA Champions League during the 2010–11 season. The pinnacle of his achievements came when Napoli clinched the Serie A title in the 2022–23 and 2024–25 seasons, solidifying his legacy in both the film and sports worlds.
