Preeti Jhangiani, born into a Sindhi-speaking family in Mumbai, India, has made significant strides in the entertainment industry. She pursued her education at Jai Hind College and is proficient in both Hindi and English.

Preeti's career took off with her debut in the popular music video "Chui Mui Si Tum Lagti Ho," alongside South Indian actor Abbas, which garnered considerable attention. In 1999, she appeared in three films: the Malayalam movie "Mazhavillu," and two Telugu films, "Thammadu" with the celebrated Pawan Kalyan, and "Narasimha Naidu" opposite Balakrishna.

Her breakthrough in Hindi cinema came with the iconic film "Mohabbatein," directed by Aditya Chopra. Starring alongside legends like Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan, Preeti's portrayal of a young widow catapulted her to fame, establishing her as a household name.

Following this success, she starred in numerous films, including "Aawara Pagal Deewana," "Annarth," "Wah Tera Kya Kehna," and "LOC," among others, collaborating with prominent actors such as Akshay Kumar and Govinda.

In 2008, Preeti married actor Parvin Dabas, and together they founded Swen Entertainment Pvt Ltd, producing the critically acclaimed film "Sahi Dhande, Galat Bande," which received several accolades, including the Bronze Palm Award at the Houston Film Festival.

The couple has also ventured into sports by launching India's first Armwrestling League, the Pro Panja League, which premiered on the Sony Sports network in July 2023, attracting over 35 million viewers. Preeti serves as the President of the People's Armwrestling Federation India, affiliated with international bodies like the WAF and AAF.
