Richard Van Vleet
Richard Van Vleet, also known as Richard Van Fleet or Rick Van Vleet, is a versatile American actor, producer, screenwriter, and director, with a career spanning several decades. He is best remembered for his portrayal of Dr. Chuck Tyler on the long-running soap opera *All My Children*, a role he held intermittently from 1975 until 2005. He also played Dr. Ed Bauer on *Guiding Light* from 1984 to 1986.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Van Vleet made a name for himself with guest appearances on numerous acclaimed television series, including *Mannix*, *Cannon*, *Marcus Welby, M.D.*, *McCloud*, *Adam-12*, *Dragnet*, *The Virginian*, and *Ironside*. His film credits include early roles in *Airport* (uncredited), *Angel in My Pocket*, and *Ben*.
In addition to his acting career, Van Vleet has shifted his focus to production and writing, taking on roles behind the camera.
