Izabella Scorupco
Izabella Scorupco was born on June 4, 1970, in Białystok, Poland, to Lech and Magdalena Skorupko. After her parents' separation when she was just one, she was raised by her mother. In 1978, they relocated to Bredäng, Stockholm, where Scorupco became fluent in Swedish, English, and French.
During the late 1980s, Scorupco embarked on a modeling career that took her across Europe, leading to her being featured on the cover of Vogue. Her acting debut came in 1987 when she was discovered by director Staffan Hildebrand and starred in the film Ingen kan älska som vi ("Nobody Can Love Like Us"). Entering the music scene in the early 1990s, she achieved success with her debut album, IZA, which received gold certification in Sweden in 1991.
On December 25, 1996, Scorupco married Polish ice hockey player Mariusz Czerkawski, who played for the Edmonton Oilers; they welcomed a daughter, Julia, on September 15, 1997, but separated in 1998. In 2003, she married American Jeffrey Raymond, with whom she has a son, Jakob, born on July 24, 2003. The family splits their time between Los Angeles and New York City.
In 2011, Scorupco returned to music, collaborating with Swedish musician Peter Jöback on the single Jag Har Dig Nu and participating in its music video. She also hosted Season 1 of Sweden's Next Top Model in 2012. Transitioning to comedy, she took on a leading role in the romantic comedy Micke & Veronica, which premiered on December 25, 2014.
