Melissa Taylor, born in Toronto to Italian-Croatian parents, spent her early years navigating between Los Angeles, California, and Scottsdale, Arizona, before returning to her Canadian roots. A multi-talented individual, she embraced figure skating, dance, and varsity rugby during her time at the University of Waterloo, where she earned a degree in Chemical Engineering while also taking on numerous theatre roles.

After relocating to Vancouver, Taylor shifted her focus towards the film and television industry, honing her skills and craft. She draws significant inspiration from actress Sandra Bullock, whose influence has shaped her artistic journey. Melissa's dedication to her craft culminated in a noteworthy nomination for Best Actress at the Alternative Film Festival for her compelling performance in the indie film, "Dust of Phantasm."
