Stevie Wermers-Skelton, born on January 28, 1966, is an accomplished story artist and director affiliated with Disney. She has made significant contributions to animated storytelling, particularly through her collaborations with Kevin Deters. Together, they co-directed the traditional animated shorts "How To Hook Up Your Home Theater" (2007) and "The Ballad of Nessie" (2011). Additionally, they were behind the beloved computer-animated television specials "Prep & Landing" (2009), "Prep & Landing: Operation: Secret Santa" (2010), and "Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice" (2011), which aired on ABC. Despite plans in 2011 for a new holiday special in the "Prep & Landing" series, it remains unproduced as of 2023.

In 2016, Wermers-Skelton and Deters announced their collaboration on a holiday special based on the immensely popular "Frozen" franchise. The resulting short, "Olaf's Frozen Adventure," was initially slated for a 2017 ABC airing but instead premiered in theaters alongside Disney·Pixar's "Coco" on November 22, 2017, before making its television debut on December 14, 2017.

Notably, "How to Hook Up Your Home Theater" marked a milestone as the first short from Walt Disney Animation Studios to feature a female director. The "Prep & Landing" series has received multiple Annie and Emmy awards, underscoring Wermers-Skelton's impact in the animation industry. She is a proud member of both the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
