Christopher Lee Ming-Shun
Christopher Lee Ming-Shun made his entry into the entertainment industry when he joined TCS (Television Corporation of Singapore) on a contract basis in 1995, following his achievement as the 1st runner-up in the male category of the Star Search competition that same year. Before this, he had a varied career as a factory worker, salesman, and part-time model. His acting journey began with Chinese-language dramas on Channel 8.
Lee's career took off after he secured the Best Actor award at the Star Awards in 1997 for his compelling portrayal of a hanjian in the historical drama *The Price of Peace*, which depicted life in Japanese-occupied Singapore during World War II. In 1998, he gained further acclaim by playing Yang Guo in *The Return of the Condor Heroes*, a celebrated adaptation of Louis Cha's novel. His performance earned him the title of Taiwan's Most Popular MediaCorp Male Artiste at the Star Awards that year. Over the years, he has starred in numerous television series produced in collaboration with various Asia-Pacific nations, sharing the screen with renowned actors like Nadia Chan and Jimmy Lin.
In addition to acting, Lee lent his voice to the theme songs of MediaCorp dramas and released his debut solo album in 1999, followed by another in 2002. Notably, at the 2010 Star Awards, he received the All-Time Favourite Artiste Award, becoming the first non-Singaporean to achieve this honor. Recently, he has expanded his repertoire to include hosting travel and food programs, earning a nomination for Best Info-Ed Show Host at the Star Awards in 2012.
