Asri Welas
Hj. Asri Pramawati, widely recognized as Asri Welas, was born on March 7, 1979, in Indonesia. She is a multi-talented figure in the entertainment industry, excelling as an actress, model, comedian, presenter, entrepreneur, dancer, radio host, and designer.
Asri's passion for dance ignited at the tender age of two. In 1989, she joined the GSP Production art group, founded by Guruh Soekarnoputra, where she showcased her exceptional dancing skills. Her dedication to the art led her to establish her own dance studio, Sanggar Asri Welas, fostering a new generation of dancers.
Asri gained widespread recognition after portraying Welas, the character of Bang Tigor's wife, in the hit comedy series "Suami-suami Takut Istri," which premiered in 2007. This role not only solidified her place in the industry but also inspired her to adopt the stage name Asri Welas, under which she continued to shine in various soap operas and films.
