Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, born on December 22, 1962, in Ipswich, Suffolk, is a distinguished English actor, film producer, and director. Throughout his career, he has garnered numerous accolades, including a British Academy Film Award and a Tony Award, alongside nominations for three Academy Awards, seven Golden Globe Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award.

Fiennes honed his craft at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 1985. He quickly made a name for himself on stage, performing at the Royal National Theatre and later the Royal Shakespeare Company. His Broadway debut in 1995 as Prince Hamlet in the revival of Shakespeare's Hamlet earned him a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play. He received another Tony nomination for his portrayal of a faith healer in Brian Friel's Faith Healer in 2006.

Fiennes ventured into film with his role as Heathcliff in the 1992 adaptation of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights. He has since received three Academy Award nominations for his performances in Schindler's List (1993), The English Patient (1996), and Conclave (2024). His filmography includes notable works like Quiz Show (1994), The Constant Gardener (2005), and The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014). He gained international fame as Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series and as Gareth Mallory/M in the James Bond films. In addition to acting, he has served as a UNICEF UK ambassador since 1999 and has directed films such as Coriolanus (2011) and The Invisible Woman (2013).
