Tami Roman
Tamisha Akbar, widely recognized as Tami Roman, was born on April 17, 1970, and has established herself as a multifaceted American actress, reality TV star, model, and entrepreneur. Roman first captured public attention in 1993 as a cast member on MTV's The Real World: Los Angeles. During this period, she co-founded an R&B girl group named Reality, where she took on the role of rapper. The group signed with Mercury Records and later rebranded themselves as Female in 1994.
In the same year, Tami married NBA player Kenny Anderson, with whom she shares two children. Their marriage ended in divorce in February 2001. Roman further expanded her television presence by appearing as the dealer on the 2001 revival of Card Sharks and making guest appearances on shows such as One on One and BET's The Parkers.
Her reality TV career soared when she joined the cast of VH1's Basketball Wives in 2010, quickly becoming a standout figure. She later transitioned to the spinoff series Basketball Wives: LA starting in 2015. Roman also had a role in the CBS series Extant and hosted her own advice show, Tami Roman's Love Talk & Hot Jamz.
In 2015, she participated in Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars alongside her boyfriend Reggie Youngblood, whom she married in 2018. More recently, she has taken on hosting duties for the VH1 series Caught in the Act: Unfaithful, which premiered in 2022.
