Holly Palmer, hailing from Santa Monica, California, embarked on her musical journey at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. After graduating, she relocated to New York City, where she quickly made her mark by releasing her self-titled debut album through Reprise Records, a label associated with Warner Bros. This initial effort led her to embark on an extensive tour across the United States and Europe, sharing the stage with renowned artists such as k.d. lang, Shawn Colvin, and Paula Cole.

Following this whirlwind tour, Palmer settled in London, where she collaborated with acclaimed producer Howie B, known for his work with U2 and Björk, to create her sophomore album, Tender Hooks. The album received critical acclaim, earning four stars from The Mail on Sunday in the UK.

A significant milestone in Palmer's career came when she was invited by the legendary David Bowie to contribute vocals to his album Hours. She lent her voice to the track "Thursday's Child," which opened the album. This remarkable opportunity led to a year of global touring alongside Bowie, further solidifying her presence in the music industry.
