Eric McCormack
Eric James McCormack, born on April 18, 1963, in Toronto, stands at 5 feet 11 inches (1.80 m) and is a multifaceted Canadian-American actor, musician, writer, and producer. His passion for performing arts ignited during his school days at Stephen Leacock Collegiate Institute High School, leading him to leave Ryerson University in 1985. He joined the prestigious Stratford Shakespeare Festival, where he honed his craft for five years through various stage productions.
In the late 1990s, McCormack relocated to Los Angeles, where he began landing smaller roles in television series such as Top Cops, Street Justice, Lovesome Dove: The Series, Townies, and Ally McBeal. However, his career took a significant turn when he was cast as Will Truman in the hit sitcom Will & Grace, which debuted in September 1998. His portrayal garnered him critical acclaim, culminating in an Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2001.
Beyond television, McCormack made his Broadway debut in the 2001 revival of The Music Man and appeared in the 2005 film The Sisters.
