Al Coronel hails from Los Angeles, California, where he grew up immersed in the vibrant world of entertainment. However, he did not embark on his journey as a performer until later in life. Before transitioning to acting, Al gained international acclaim as a salsa dancer, captivating audiences around the globe while teaching and performing at various salsa festivals.

Al honed his acting skills after completing a two-year master's program at The Sanford Meisner Center for the Arts, studying under distinguished instructor and Sandy Meisner protégé, Martin Barter. His theatrical repertoire includes notable productions such as "Romeo and Juliet," "Much Ado About Nothing," and the musical "Cesar & Ruben," which was both written and directed by Ed Begley Jr.

In television, Al's talent has shone through in a variety of prominent series. He appeared in ABC's acclaimed show "Brothers & Sisters," alongside stars like Rob Lowe and Calista Flockhart, as well as NBC's "E-Ring" with Dennis Hopper and Benjamin Bratt.
